Tab Trade - What Traders Should Know

Tab Trade - The Short Version

TabTrade went live in Q1 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.

His background tells you something. It means the leadership has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. Still preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.

The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.

The instrument list: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, equities, crypto, ETFs. A wide spread. For a platform that is a few months old, that coverage is solid.

What You Trade On

You get: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both platforms from a single account. Many only give you one or the other. Access to both makes a difference. Use whichever you prefer.

MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Full charting, EAs, massive community. If you have traded on MetaTrader before, it is familiar territory.

cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better DOM. Smoother chart interaction. cBot support. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 after using both.

Direct FIX connectivity is available for bots but needs the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is apparently coming. That should round things out when it lands.

Costs

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. No commission. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Good for people who want simple pricing.

Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the actual interbank spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your real cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.

VIP. $25k to open. FIX API, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not for most retail traders. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.

Infrastructure

The speed is where TabTrade stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. The average platform operate at a much wider range.

Does it matter? For short-term trading, yes. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. The point is the setup is serious. That is something about priorities.

Combine those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package is strong. Few brokers at this price point offer execution like this.

The FSRA Question

Here is the part you need to be straight about. The broker is licensed by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. There are FCA-regulated options out there.

That said. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement costs real money. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in proper execution infrastructure. This does not guarantee anything. It does inform your assessment.

What you are accepting: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off is worth it depends on you.

Deposit Bonus

Tab Trade runs bonus funds of up to $2,000. Typical sign-up bonus. You put money in, TabTrade credit extra capital. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Check the terms before funding.
